Sell Or Rent Timeshare A Futile Effort?
I have spent over a thousand dollars over the past few years trying to sell my Silverleaf timeshare and have never received even one offer and I have been thru 3 or 4 companies, but not this one. One was referred from a salesman at the Silverleaf timeshare resort we purchased at, 2 others telemarket me and the most recent timeshare company sent me a mailer.
All were similar in what they offer and one, maybe two, I think even claimed to have some kind of "open house", which I've learned since is a lie/scam. The telemarketing company's salespeople were "fast-talkers" just like the salesmen at the timeshare itself. They promised/guaranteed a sale and promised my money-back if the timeshare was not sold within a certain time frame or if someone else sold it within 10%-20% of my original asking price. Problem is, they over priced me to begin with and I was never able to re-establish contact with the one who guaranteed a sale within 90 days(If I remember correctly).
I just want honesty regarding what my timeshare is worth or what it will actually sell for. Timeshare Adventures or at lease what I have read by exploring their website seems legitimate(attorney on staff, etc.), but I can't help but be extremely skeptical. I am willing to price my Silverleaf timeshare very well and I've been told that Silverleaf is a popular timeshare group, so if this marketing, advertising, no closing cost and supposedly ethical company can produce and get the job done I will give them my business. But, I too want to hear some stories of timeshare(hopefully Silverleaf) resale success.
Nervous, desperate and READY to sell!
