I'm with you guys. Been trying to rid myself of a timeshare and read the warnings about unethical companies and their upfront costs. The thing is after these warnings, they give no specific alternatives other than saying "find a company that charges after the sale", but finding a company that does it this way is incredibly difficult. These companies are few and far between and take a huge commission IF they sell and are usually located in a certain resort or vacation area, do very little advertising. I guess they try to get those who have turned down the salesmen at the resort and I would think that after being beat-up by those high pressure salesmen they would be reluctant to enter their office to buy. I understand that timeshares can be tough to sell independently and I tried ebay, but was never even able to get my timeshare listed there. It's different than listing regular ebay item(i.e. upfront fees, etc.) and when I looked at what other ebay sellers got for their timeshare it was next to nothing.
I keep seeing Timeshare Adventures when I continue to search for a good selling option, so they do advertise online quite well. Didn't know about the attorney and timeshare closing aspect and that interests me as well. I just hope as you all do that there has got to be a few good companies doing what they promise. Perhaps this is the one
