Howdy Mike, I've read what's been written here about renting my RCI or even Interval International weeks from the forum admin and other folks, but since you claim to have first hand experience working within a timeshare exchange company, I though you might be able to help me with my question.

Can I rent-out my timeshare weeks that have been deposited with RCI or Interval International?

By reading whats been written here I understand that in order to be successful, I should book the deposited timeshare week at a resort and then go about renting out that week and that makes sense to me because otherwise there is really nothing to advertised because the banked week is unbooked at a resort. I was also warned to 'be careful' because of timeshare exchange company policies forbidding the rental of "their" weeks.

I would think that after choosing and booking a week at one of the many timeshare resorts that works with RCI or Interval International that they would be unaware of me renting-out the timeshare week.

Do they track this somehow?
