I often explore various sources digging for information related to the timeshare industry and one of the best sources used to acquire solid timeshare related information is the ARDA International Foundation(AIF), which is the research arm of the American Resort Development(ARDA).

It's common knowledge that word-of-mouth advertising is one of the best ways to promote any product and a recent survey shows that the majority of timeshare owners are more likely to recommend timeshare ownership to others. The following is quoted from the AIF website:

It’s known that a happy customer is the best promoter of a product—and so it is that timeshare owners themselves are likely to promote vacation ownership. In a survey among owners, 56 percent indicated they were very or somewhat likely to recommend this purchase to a friend or colleague.
