There are many nice resorts in Branson. Most of the RCI resorts are Gold Crowns. Holiday Hills is one of them, but there is nothing more special about it than a number of others. Being overbuilt, it is almost always available as a rental or Extra Vacation.
Holiday Hills is not
surrounded by the Taneycomo. It is, however, the only resort on the
other side of Lake Taneycomo, which means across the bridge from downtown Branson and then a few miles east on HWY 76. You cannot see Lake Taneycomo from anywhere at Holiday Hills. Where the highway turns east is directly across Lake Taneycomo from where The Branson Landing is being built (almost open).
HH does have an 18-hole golf course on-site. I have played it many times. I really like it, but trying to be objective, it rates fourth of Branson's five courses. Although they keep changing their policy, owners get golf during their owned week for cart fee only. Normally there is a discount offer going, at least for afternoon or after 3:00 golf.
Not many years ago Silverleaf greatly expanded the resort, tripling it I believe. The following year they had problems with their operating financing and ceased all sales efforts in Branson, at HH and Ozark Mountain Resort. From talking to Silverleaf owners here on Bonus Time, it appears that they continued selling it by offering it as an
upgrade to owners elsewhere.
They are actively marketing again and have had an ad to hire salespeople in the local paper. I even called on it.
There are also full-time rental apartments at HH.
