A resent study has shown that travelers who normally are environmentally conservative in their day to day lives are not following these practices while on vacation. Traveling practices such as leaving lights on, setting thermostats much lower than normal, discarding complimentary toiletries after a single use, as well as increased water consumption. Many resorts have taken up conservation practices by using environmentally friendly products and instituting the recycle, reduce, reuse philosophy making it easier for travelers to keep to their earth friendly living.
