Default Disney Vacation Club Announces Westward Timeshare Expansion

Addressing a growing demand for guest accommodations and vacation ownership, The Disneyland Resort today celebrated an expansion of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa that will increase accommodations by more than 30 percent and will include the first Disney Vacation Club villas in Anaheim.

The 2.5-acre expansion on the hotel’s south side will add more than 200 new hotel rooms and 50 two-bedroom-equivalent Disney Vacation Club vacation villas. Those vacation villas will mark the California debut of Disney Vacation Club

Construction is already underway on the south side of the hotel, with completion scheduled for late 2009.

Timeshare Adventures offers a diverse variety of Disney Vacation Club(DVC) ownerships that are being marketed through our efforts and they can be rented or purchased at substantial discounts. DVC ownership is among the most highly requested timeshare ownerships we market and it's appeal is not just to new timeshare owners, but also existing timeshare owners and existing DVC owners who may be looking to add to their current ownership. Disney Vacation Club is a point-based timeshare and points offer amazing versatility and seem to be the future of timesharing.

Please feel welcome to post your questions, experiences and thoughts on DVC, point-based timeshare ownership or anything you may wish to add!

Default More about Disney Vacation Club timeshare

The Disney Vacation Club family of resorts also includes five other Walt Disney World properties, as well as resorts in Vero Beach, Fla., and Hilton Head Island, S.C. Disney Vacation Club has sold out of inventory at its first six resorts, and sales remain ahead of schedule at its seventh property, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, which opened in May 2004 near the Downtown Disney area at the Walt Disney World Resort, as well as at the aforementioned Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.

Thumbs up We Love Our Disney Timeshare!

We have been DVC owners for about five years and we love it. We own 400 points and are able to visit any location in the Disney family(even their Cruise line ) and receive excellent trading when we exchange with Interval International.

I have seen many good deals being advertised on this site, so when it's time to add more point as my family grows(3rd baby on the way), I will definitely come here to find a deal.

I highly recommend Disney Vacation Club!

Thanks-
Truoc

Default Disney Vacation Club Timeshare Points

Im not familiar with how you can use Disney points for your vacation. What do points cost and what can you redeem them for? I saw a sign at Walt Disney World For Disney Vacation Club but my son was ready to ride the "Thunder Mountain Railroad" so I couldn't stop to ask. If you can stay on Disney property we might want to buy or rent. Thanks-Parker

Default Using Disney Points

Hi parker, glad to see you still involved with our forum.

It some instances points have replaced the traditional timeshare week(s) and can be redeemed for vacation time at either a specific resort or more often a number of resorts within a certain developers "family" of properties. A certain number of points gets you time in a timeshare unit and the more points you are awarded can broaden the versatility of the ownership. That is, you may be able to use a certain number of points for a week in a one-bedroom during or within a certain season, whereas more points may allow you to get a larger unit, for more time, during any season. So, the more points you have the more option you have.

Disney Vacation Club is a point-based timeshare. An owner is awarded points annually to use for their vacation. DVC Points new cost approximately $105 to $110 per point new through Disney and according to my most recent research. However, you can buy these points on the resale market for much less. A DVC timeshare owner can always purchase more points and increase the versatility of their ownership.

Another important detail is the resale-ability of DVC points. It is very good and as a matter of fact Disney will even act on their 'First Right of Refusal', which allows them to buy the points back if the pending sale is for less than a certain amount.

Default First Right Of Refusal of Right of First Refusal

Hi, Just a lawyer searching for a place to sell my time-share and thought I'd provide those who want to know about info on the 'first right of refusal' or at least it's definition.....so here goes:

Right of First Refusal

Privilege of Preempting Transaction: a privilege somebody has to prevent a transaction, typically a sale, lease, or sublease, by agreeing to stand in the place of one party, often the buyer or lessee. Often a condominium's or cooperatives board of directors has this right.

Great site by the way...like the in-house closing concept!
