According to a recent article I read regarding how Timeshares are sold claimed that in the past 25 years little has changed in the way Timeshares are sold. The 90 minute presentation, enticing potential buyers with free stays, rental cars, or nearly anything to capture the potential buyer into the grasp of the slickest salespeople in the world.

Timeshare Adventures disagrees. Default Advertising timeshares

Ya, seems the internet has really added new sales/advertising ability for the public with vacation properties. Instant access to unlimited information around the world has made it easier for alot of industries.
Advertising timeshare units for sale these days must impact the traditional way of purchasing a vacation property directly thru the resort.

Default Buy Resale Market Timeshare & Avoid Aggressive Salespeople

A recent news article published by a timeshare owner and potential timeshare buyer describes her horrible experience during the timeshare sales presentation at a Mexican resort. I've quoted a few selections of her write-up/review, which details her experience below.

I should have known better. I'd been warned: "When you arrive at Cancun airport, never -- never -- talk to the so-called 'travel advisers.' They're timeshare salesmen."

Timeshare salesman. The term should have struck fear in our hearts, but as happy timeshare owners ourselves, my wife and I had grown tolerant. So when the polite and helpful young man offered to get us a ride to our beachside condo and throw in a couple bottles of premium tequila if we'd attend an information meeting down the coast on the Mayan Riviera, we didn't blink. We'd have a ride to a beautiful resort and a tour, and lunch.

We got our premium tequila; we got our lunch; we got a tour of the spectacular resort. But we also found ourselves in one of the most uncomfortable situations we'd ever encountered outside a dentist's office.

We'd been listening to the pitch for two hours when we said enough's enough, and told the salesman we had to leave for another appointment. He ignored our pleas and continued to press on.

After several polite repetitions of the "sorry, we must go" approach, I insisted we had to depart immediately. The salesman demanded to know what our appointment was. When I told him it was none of his business, his face contorted in rage, he shook his fist in my face and invited me to step outside to settle the matter.

In seven happy years as timeshare owners, this was the only such incident we experienced, and it's one we can now laugh off. Happily, it's not typical. Yet even timeshares fans admit the industry's sales pitch needs a serious makeover.

[COLOR="Blue"]I think the traditional way of purchasing these timeshares will hold up just fine. I believe these are an emotional purchase, you’re out of your elements on vacation and those sales guys are good. There’s no one to twist your arm on the internet![/color]

Default Timeshare Adventures Targets BUYERS Of Vacation Property

Hello again, n2deep. I agree that the traditional timeshare purchase through the resort or developer directly is an emotional buy combined with HIGH PRESSURE and some kind of incentive to entice the potential buyer to "hear" the timeshare presentation in the first place.

The difference here is that these tactics are not used to draw our buying or renting clientele to Timeshare Adventures. They usually initiate the search via the Internet or their attention is captured through our Advertising Network. So, those who approach us to buy or rent timeshare are actually seeking discount timeshare ownership and simplicity without having to endure the HIGH PRESSURE sales presentation they get at the resort. That is, they are BUYERS on a mission to acquire their desired vacation property and have come to timeshare Adventures to locate what they want. We make the process simple, cost effective and if our sellers offer the savings the buyer is seeking then timeshare resale and/or rental success is imminent.
