Default time to sell my timeshare in orlando

hi, my friend and I bought a timeshare a few years ago from a company like this and the timeshare is in Orlando, Florida. I called several companies and found out that I would have to pay a fee to advertise my timeshare for sale and was wondering about the cost of closing and the steps required to move the timeshare out of our names and into the buyers name when it sells. I did not realize it when we bought it that the seller paid the company we went thru to advertise it, but now I know thats how it works. My friend and I paid a company to do the transfer of ownership when we bought it(like $400 I think) and I noticed that you guys have no closing costs on your timeshare ads. Can someone tell me how you do this and are Orlando timeshares selling well with all the real estate problems lately?

Default Resale Timeshare And Closing Costs

Once you found-out that the seller of the timeshare you and your friend purchased on the resale market paid an advertising fee to market their timeshare to be sold and you've accepted that it's a common practice that works well if the seller is priced properly then you're headed in the right direction. Be sure to choose a company that advertises effectively, not only to buyers, but to sellers also.

What we've done to increase the attractiveness of the resale timeshares being advertised through our efforts and to make the process seamless is the staffing of an independent real-estate attorney to run our in-house closing department. By doing this we are able to offer a unique advertising option called the PLATINUM AD LISTING. This option has our attorney performing the closing for both buyer and seller and has Timeshare Adventures absorbing the costs of closing for buyer and seller, as well. Not only does this provide our selling clientele with sincere value, but it makes Timeshare Adventures the buyers first choice by saving them the costs associated with the transfer of ownership you paid when you bought a resale market timeshare.

More information about the PLATINUM AD LISTING can be found HERE.

Default Orlando timeshare sale question

sounds pretty good. One more question though, what if I am unable to locate my friend that bought the timeshare with me? I have the deed, receipts for the paying of the timeshare and all the stuff they gave us when we bought and I should be able to find my friend, but if I can't what happens?

Thanks.

Default Finding "Partner" To Sell Timeshare

I had a similar problem with an investment property and an ex-boyfriend. In my case, I had to find him and get him to sign the closing documents in order to sell it, so if your timeshare is deeded I would assume the same thing is necessary. These days with the Internet and stuff, I would think locating the other timeshare owner would be simple. If not, you may be able to place an 'Announcement' in a newspaper or something, but your best bet is to inquire with a professional or a lawyer that is familiar with real-estate laws in the area and ask him/her about this.

Hope this helps.

Jen
