Default Selling Advice

Wow, I have been looking around the web and doing some recent research about selling my 2 timeshares. I must say that after a couple weeks of web-surfing for resale companies that this one tops everything I have come across!

What I like best is that Timeshare Adventures has posted offers and sales stats right here on their site! I'm not sure why the other companies I have found online do not release this info, but they dont. Or at least I have been unable to find another that does. This has really helped because my wife is a realtor and initially wanted to see 'comps' and proof of sale and typical real estate type numbers and such. My wife and I have since learned that selling timeshare is quite different than selling a home, but the info posted here has given my wife peace of mind.

Anyone ever used Timeshare Adventures to sell? My timeshares are in Las Vegas and Atlantic City and we owe nothing on them. They are deeded for life and our life has changed a bit since we bought(twins ) and would be willing to price them very well.

Default Great Service and RESULTS!

spazzola, I found this company when I needed rental accomodations in Aruba for my family's 2006 reunion and they were able to get me an amazing condo and it was so simple. I have since listed and sold my Manhattan Club timeshare through their services. I offered great price and they dealt with the advertising, marketing and the transfer of ownership, so I recommend this site/company and I wish u the best with selling.

Default Selling my timeshare

I have been trying to sell my timeshare for about about two and a half months with Timeshare Adventures and so far there have been a couple of low offers but no serious takers. My timeshare is in Orlando, which I'm told is the number one vacation spot in the world. I bought it in 2002 and I am asking for exactly what I paid then, so I'm sure the timeshare is priced right or at least considerably less than someone would pay at the resort today.

Thumbs up Right on Coarse!

subliminalsun, looks like your right on coarse! Thank you for being realistic on your pricing and expectations on selling this vacation property. Glad to see you've had a couple of offers, can't really blame buyers for making a low offer...they are shopping the resale market to save as much money as they can.

Florida is still the number one destination in the entire world, we have over 126 different countries that visit our state. To accommodate all of our visitors, the state of Florida has over 300 resorts...so hang in there and we'll do a great job for you!

Mr. Staff-Robert D - I must say that the communication from the staff has been good. I'm "hanging-in-there" and have been making counter-offers whenever I get the low-ball offers, it's just frustrating sometimes to play the waiting game. I have faith, keep up the good work.

I have been trying to sell my Branson timeshare here for many months! The woman at Timeshare Adventures recommended a rental option when I called to talk about selling and I have rented it on one occasion so far. It's a Silverleaf resort and I got pressured into buying when I vacationed there 2 years ago. I really can't afford it and because we have it financed I have to get what I paid. I am willing to let the thing go at a fair price, but I refuse to give it away! The resort is lovely so I expected to have it sold by now and I asking $1500 less than Silverleaf is. Am I not being realistic?

Default Selling Advice

supermom,

In my opinion you are asking too much. Most people have to take a hit financially when they sell their timeshares. I got really lucky and sold my first timeshare to a family member, but I still lost about 20% of my initial investment. I have been browsing the secondary market to buy a timeshare recently and I'm looking for the best deal possible. I would bring the price down or at least put "best offer" or something like that.

Best Wishes,

JC

Hi everyone! My wife and I have really enjoy the timeshares we have, but we have learned the hard way that they are generally not a good investment. There are exceptions of course, resorts like Marriott and others, Hawaii and I would think certain weeks are in higher demand that are more popular than others.
