Default Timeshare Exchange Companies

RCI and Interval International(II) are the two major exchange companies and nearly every Resort or Developer is affiliated to either one or the other and in rare cases both. These companies do not sell timeshare or vacation properties, but enable a timeshare owner to trade or exchange their week(s)/points at the resort they own and select another resort for their vacation. There is usually an annual fee to belong to an exchange company like RCI or II and it is separate than the ownership of the timeshare itself.

To the best of my knowledge RCI and II remain neutral when it comes to recommending a resale or rental company.

Lightbulb Timeshare Exchanging Company Alternatives

Hello 'Vacation Lovers' and 'Timeshare People'

I posted a list of exchange companies a few months ago and while some may be smaller companies the the big two(RCI & II), they may offer benefits that the others do not. I thought I would quote that post for those seeking an alternative to RCI or Interval International.

Quote:
Here is a fairly complete list of exchange companies that timeshare owners can use for exchange. Each company has their own unique advantage.

Interval International - Interval International | Interval International – Timeshares
RCI Vacation Net - www.rci.com
RCI South Africa - www.rci.co.za
Trading Places Exchange and Management Company - Trading Places International - Timeshare Rentals, Exchange, Resales, and Travel Services
San Francisco Exchange Company (SFX) - SFX Preferred Resorts the San Francisco exchange company
Platinum Interchange - www.platinuminterchange.com
OwnerTrades.com Especially for Marriott Owners - Marriott Timeshare Exchange Rentals & Resales - trade timeshare trading exchange exchanging timeshares
Trading Places Maui, Inc. - Trading Places Maui

TIMELINX - Timeshare Database: Exchange, Resale & Rental - www.timelinx.com
Timex Direct Exchange System - default.phpTimeshare exchanges; Direct timeshare exchanges; Cheap Timeshare exchanges; Timeshare owners exchanges | Timex
INTERVAC International Home Exchange Vacation Service - Intervac International Home Exchange

Vacationearth Exchange Company - New Page 1
Internet Exchange Services, LLC - INTERNET-IES.COM
Interchange, Australian Timeshare Exchange - Interchange Timeshare
Dial An Exchange - Worldwide exchanges - Dial An Exchange Timeshare + Vacation Ownership & Points Clubs Exchange Service
So, there are options other than RCI and Interval International. I beleive there to be benefits to each, so explore your options and...change the way you see the world.

Default Timeshare Resale and/or Rental Recommendations

Hey Parker,

Any news on who RCI or Interval recommends? I would be interested in their answer.

Default RCI and Selling Your Timeshare

I spoke with an RCI rep and he said to search the internet for a timeshare resale company. He also said that RCI doesn't recommend any specific company for reselling your timeshare.

Thanks for the update, parker. That's pretty much the answer I guessed they would say. I'm also guessing that's how you found us!

Default timeshare exchange busines "the how to's"

just an introduction; my name is mike. the last name will,of course, remain confidential. i work at one of the exchange companies i have read about in your forum. i will, over the next few months, be exchanging (pardon the pun) free tips as to how the timeshare exchange business works to your advantage. i have been with the same company for a number of years and can honestly say that if you could get better advice than i don't know from whom you may acquire it. for you multiple time share owners you have probably heard about me and have even probably shared my name with others due to the enlightening advice i offer during any of your calls to me. however, enough of my boasting (for now) he he

anyways i have heard all the stories about corrupt time share reps, bad advice from different exchange companies, bad experiences from the resorts and on it goes.. what i will attempt to do over time is offer you free advice as to how to get the most out of your timeshare dollars. ( if you will )

so, if you have specific concerns or questions please feel free to contact me via this forum and i will answer as quickly as i can. please, i dont need to hear all of it.. there is a theory i have and its simple. i call it the kiss method.. keep it simple stupid. no offence

Arrow Timeshare Exchange Company Advice

Hello Mike, welcome to our forum and thank you for your participation.

I manage our timeshare forum and while I think I have a firm understanding of the way the major timeshare exchange companies operate, I definitely think your "hands-on" expertise will help our forum visitors(me included) understand and utilize their timeshare and/or their exchange company membership.

I know many timeshare owners who DO enjoy the benefits being a member of RCI or Interval International offers, but I know their are many other who are completely frustrated by their inability to either get what they want through their exchange company or have no idea about how to use the membership to it's full advantage or at all!

Timeshare Adventures has developed this forum to cover a variety of relevant timeshare related news, discussions, information and more. We want our forum to be THE resource center for timeshare related topics, so thanks again for your recent post and the offering of your advice/information!

Default well its cold in the upper part of north america sooooooo,

now is the time that many are finally starting to enquire about their chances of booking that florida vacation for january, february and march. well, if you waited this long then you have your work cut out for you. i will give you some very good advice and you would be well served to heed it.

technically speaking you've waited too long to do what you should have done last summer but all is not lost. now, so you need a two bedroom on the beach somewheres in sunny florida eh? at this point in time i strongly urge you to put yourself on a exchange company wait list or, if you will, a search. now if you get a call from one of these companies and they offer you anything that resembles what you want then by all means take it. if you keep putting it off you'll be out of luck.. all is not lost though. you can book two one bedrooms and they may be a bit away from the beach. so whats wrong with that? would you rather be wading in slush and snow? or where its sunny and warm.

you also could enquire about rental properties through these companies.. now, if you want florida in the sun for these aforementioned times take my advice. book it a year earlier..
